Waterfront Cabin? Yes please.
Situated on a traditional working farm in Mid Wales you will find a rustically inspired waterfront cabin called The Boatshed. This romantic bolthole is simply a delight! Featuring a comfy king size bed and a wood burning stove. For an extra special treat, a locally sourced full English breakfast or a continental breakfast can be booked. In the warmer months and when the river is low, you can enjoy full use of the BBQ area. Finally catch up on reading that book you promised you’d start from the hammock, or cool down by having a paddle in the clear running water.
Stay in a shipping container in the ‘Food Capital’ of Yorkshire
For a quirky romantic weekend break, book a stay at The BOX BNB in Malton, the foodie capital of Yorkshire. These three converted shipping containers, The Rabbit BOX, The Duck BOX and The Pig BOX are brand new to The Wanderlist, having only launched in late 2021. All come with floor-to-ceiling windows, boutique interiors, wood burners and their own private decking areas. Although the cabins are as remote as can be on a working farm, there is still high speed WiFi and a projector. Perfect for streaming a romantic movie.
Nothing quite like this…

Cast yourself away at Llanthony Court Castaway
Llanthony Court Castaway on the grounds of a private farm is one of the most romantic properties on The Wanderlist and it’s even been featured in The Times’ 30 Epic Escapes. The perfect hideaway for two, the carriage is accessed by crossing a quirky wooden bridge. Inside there is a comfy king-size bed, deck chairs and blankets for cosying up with a glass of wine as you admire the sweeping views. There is also a fairy-lit terrace and fire pit with grilling rack for a spot of alfresco dining as you look up at the stars.
