The nearest village is that of Carno, a delightful community featuring a choice of traditional pubs and a Spar shop allowing you to stock up on the essentials.
For adventures further afield, Powis Castle and its gorgeous gardens are nearby, as well as the endless attractions of the Elan Valley. If you’re celebrating something special during your stay, or simply wish to be wined and dined, you could head to the coast to sample mesmerising Michelin-starred meats at Ynyshir near Machynlleth, or instead keep it local with a trip to The Granary in Newtown.
