Wilde Lodge

A gorgeous property filled with possibility. From a quiet get together with friends or family. Right through to the most extraordinary yet intimate private party venue. The choice is yours.

Wilde Lodge itself is the beating heart of all this property has to offer. A beautifully restored nineteenth-century house, idyllically overlooking the River Teme. Perfectly positioned to take in glorious views across Shropshire, Herefordshire and Wales.  Housing ten guests across four bedrooms (plus space for extra little people). Hire of Wilde Lodge includes the fabulous Long Barn. A wonderfully rustic space, whimsical and romantic. Seating fifty for al fresco dining and also housing it’s very own cinema and projector screen, it’s the ultimate party venue. A Safari Tent is available to hire for added space or larger events. And there are 3 fully furnished bell tents that can be hired for extra guests during the warmer months of the year. Special birthday, anniversary, a family reunion or even a wedding. A stay at Wilde Lodge will make even the most special of occasions truly unique and unforgettable.

Spacious rooms adorned with large windows which flood each area with natural light, framing those beautiful views. Characterful yet cosy, each room is designed with entertaining in mind. From the comfy sitting room with ample seating, all warmed with flickering flames in the fireplace. To the dining room which can comfortably seat eighteen – or even twenty if everyone squidges up a bit!

Bedrooms one to three each have a zip and link super king bed, allowing for easy reconfiguration to suit your needs. Whilst the fourth bedroom has two, making it perfect for families, children, or groups of friends. Flexibility is key here! Bathrooms are plentiful too, with two en-suites plus a family bathroom. Enjoy home cooked meals from the stylish kitchen, which comes with everything you’ll need, bar the food. Although, in house catering is an extra option too! With a 50” television and Wi-Fi, plus a selection of books and board games on hand for more traditional fun, there’s sure to be something to entertain everybody!

Ditch the car and enjoy all Wilde Lodge has to offer. Dust off those hiking boots and try the walking trails right from the doorstep. Or if you’re looking for something a little more reinvigorating – a spot of wild swimming might be up your street. Mentioned in The Wild Swimming Guide, it’s worth braving the chill!

Children will adore the play area, bug hotel and Wendy House, and there’s lots of space for them to run free and make up their own games. Hide and seek anyone?! And for the adults, pop the cork on something fizzy and relax in the outdoor seating area. Nominate a chef to take on the large gas BBQ and let them rustle up an al fresco treat for the whole party. Later, when the sun sets light the fire pits and gather round. Share memories and laughs as you snuggle around the flames, perhaps even toasting a marshmallow or two.

Wilde Lodge is located close to the village of Brampton Bryan, the area is known not only for its history and beauty but also for its fantastic food. Walk to The Baron of Beef at Bucknall. Or for something on the fancy side, head to the Michelin starred The Stagg at Titley. By day explore ruins at the English Heritage property, Wigmore Castle. Alternatively, head a little further afield to the National Trust’s magnificent Powis Castle. Or imagine yourself in Bridgerton at the Regency Mansion on the Attingham Park Estate.

For families, little ones will be enchanted by the animals at The Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre in Kington. Mickey Miller’s Family Play Barn or Monkey Mania will burn off excess energy in the way only soft play can. Daredevils may choose to take on The Great Escape, dangling from England’s longest zip line. Or sample some of the many activities available nearby; golf, horse riding, a shooting range, even rally car driving. There really is something for everyone!
