The Steam Railway Cottages
The Steam Railway Cottages
All aboard and experience an unforgettable getaway. Situated on the West Somerset Steam Railway line are The Railway Cottage and The Railway Carriage.
Fantastically appointed to please train enthusiasts (and even if you’re not, it’s still a seriously cool location!) On a site located between Exmoor National Park and The Quantock Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Steam Railway Cottages are two properties: The Railway Cottage and Railway Carriage. The Railway Cottage is the larger of the two. Period accommodation packed with character; it sleeps 6 (plus a baby in a cot) across three bedrooms. The cottage also features two bathrooms. Meanwhile the quirky Railway Carriage, is a purpose-built carriage and brake van. It sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, having a single bathroom. Featuring unbeatable views of the steam railway in one direction, with the Quantock Hills to the other. These countryside boltholes are fantastic for families, couples, and groups of friends. Your furry besties can come too, with two well behaved dogs welcome in each. Unique in location, with much to do in the surrounding area too. Get ready to make some unforgettable memories.
Both properties offer a welcoming modern, country vibe. Cosy seating areas with tv and DVD players – ideal for popping those weary feet up after a day out. And if you’re in need of a bit more screen time, you’re covered with Wi-Fi available throughout. Self-catering is made easy with the well-equipped modern kitchens. And if the weather is unpredictably British, there’s dining space inside for the whole group. The Railway Cottage has three bedrooms. A king size with en suite shower room, a further king size room and a twin. A second bathroom has a period bath with shower over. While the slightly smaller Railway Carriage has two bedrooms. A king size and a twin, both with railway views, sharing a family bathroom between them. All bedrooms have their own television. Ideal if you fancy an early night with a good film! The Railway Cottage also has the extra comfort of a wood burning stove.
Outside The Steam Railway Cottages

Both Steam Railway Cottages also have a private hot tub each. Reinvigoration for tired parents, there’s nothing better than soaking those cares away in a bubbling tub!
