The Safari Tent Luxury Glamping
Indulge the intrepid explorer inside you without sacrificing the little luxuries by taking a walk on the wild side at The Safari Tent. Perfectly perched at the edge of Pennard Hill Farm, this secluded safari tent sleeps up to six and is the ultimate luxury glamping experience.
Offering unparalleled stargazing opportunities and a wood burning stove that provides traditional comfort and quirky cooking, this unique retreat offers a safari stay without the prowling predators or long-haul flight. With visually striking vistas of the Mendip Hills and a wonderful woodland nearby, it is the perfect playground for guests young and old.
Indoors
Equipped with a handy kitchen and luxurious lounge, there’s no real need to stray too far from the tent itself. You might be pleased to know that there will be no traipsing through fields in the dark, as the tent boasts a beautiful bathroom. Two bedrooms offer comfortable and quirky quarters for all and the lack of electricity ensures complete connection with both your company and your environment. (Don’t panic, battery-powered phone chargers can be provided.)
Outdoors
A deck provides comfortable seating for those al fresco evenings, and the exterior of the tent folds back to let the great outdoors in should you wish. Perfectly perched at the edge of the farm, the tent enjoys a rolling green space around it, with trees to climb and fun to be had.
Nearby
Located in an idyllic spot in the carefree county of Somerset, The Safari Tent sits on Pennard Hill Farm, a working sheep farm with unbeatable views of its scenic surroundings and the Mendip Hills. Get to know the quirks of Glastonbury and its many myths, visit the small city of Wells with its stunning cathedral, or escape to the coast in search of flavoursome fish and chips.
Perfectly placed for a day trip to Bath, you could also explore the Cranborne Chase AONB (Area of Natural Beauty) or even head down into Dorset to discover the Jurassic Coast.
As far as eateries go, the traditional market town of Shepton Mallet is a mere few miles away and is bursting with flavoursome fare. The Natterjack, Blostin’s and Poachers Pocket all receive rave reviews, but if you’re looking for somewhere within easy walking distance, The Red Lion in West Pennard is only an amble away along characterful country lanes, serving a selection of gastro dishes and pub classics.
Also conveniently close by, the Avalon Vineyard produces organic wines and ciders, inviting keen sommeliers and occasional drinkers alike for tours and tastings.
