The Farley Hangar
The Farley Hangar
Escape to the ultimate countryside retreat. Step off the runway of life and prepare to have your mind reset in the most wonderful of ways.
Situated in seclusion on a Hampshire farm. The Farley Hangar takes its name from the private grass airfield it sits beside. Only very rarely used for light aircraft, any planes in action promise to be a novelty rather than a nuisance! Enjoying south facing views over woodlands before taking the eye across to the Isle of Wight. This is the perfect getaway for couples seeking a special location for a romantic retreat. Long walks hand in hand, deep conversations beneath open skies with eyes widened towards stunning views. Tranquil and remote, The Farley Hangar is the antidote to the everyday. Switch off and relax.
The boutique Scandinavian style interior is seriously impressive. Reclaimed wood and brass fittings teamed with luxurious fabrics make for a cosy, comfortable space. Thoughtfully laid out to make the most of the area available and the incredible scenery. A king-sized bed sits centrally facing the glass doors, enabling breakfast in bed with a gorgeous view. A small kitchenette with oven, microwave, a fridge/freezer and a kettle along with all the utensils you’ll need. Fully covered by Wi-Fi, should you need to work on the laptop there’s a handy workspace. Or simply chill with Netflix on the 32” Smart TV. And let’s not forget the amazing bathroom facilities. Full size bath for a glorious bubbly soak, and an invigorating rainfall shower.
Outside of The Farley Hangar is all about that idyllic countryside view. Woodland, arable fields and a wildflower meadow, reaching far into the distance towards the Isle of Wight. Your private deck comes complete with dining furniture. Grill your dinner on the BBQ and dine al fresco. And why not chill a bottle of wine and sit outside? Perhaps even play one of the board games provided. And wildlife enthusiasts will love to sit with the binoculars! It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the morning sunrise. Or if you didn’t catch that worm – the twinkly night stars are just as impressive!
There are some wonderful walks and bike trails to discover from the doorstep of The Farley Hangar. Take a wander through Parnholt Woods, and if you visit at the right time of year be treated to a carpet of bluebells. Cycle the Claredon Way or head to Farley Mount Country Park. If you’re in the car and fancy exploring a little further afield, try Winchester. With its imposing cathedral and strong sense of local culture, it’s a lovely place to explore. National Trust house and gardens, Mottisfont is around a fifteen-minute drive away. And gin lovers will be delighted to know that the Bombay Sapphire Distillery is only around thirty-minutes away by car.
