When the sun is shining, head into the large outdoor courtyard. Each Sleekstone Holiday cottage has its own enclosed space, allowing privacy. Fire up the BBQ or fire pit and dine al fresco. There’s a parasol for shade on sunny days. Or put your sandy feet up and toast s’mores over the firepit long into the night.
The local area is teeming with things to do, with something for all interests and ages. The famed Pembroke Castle is an easy drive away, a must for those with an interest in the Tudor dynasty. Carew Castle is also a lovely day out. For beach lovers, you’re spoilt for choice! Barafundle is incredibly picturesque, while Newgale is great for water sports. Film lovers will recognise the sand dunes of Freshwater West and Marloes. And for something more secluded and dramatic, Druidstone is the place to be. Nature lovers may be tempted to drive around 30 minutes to catch a day trip to the nature reserve of Skomer Island – known for its puffins. Other trips include Caldey Island which is a wonderful place to get away from the world, Ramsay Island and the cliffs and wildlife of Skokholm and Grassholm. For those looking for a little adrenaline, try Llys y Fran Park and Wild Lakes Wales. Or Llanion Cove Activity Centre, only seven minutes from the cottages. You could even try coasteering at nearby Tenby or further North at Blue Lagoon at Abereiddi. And there’s fun for the whole family at Folly Farm, Manor Park and Heatherton World of Activities.
