Ivy’s Way, Mid Wales Views/Holidays Wales
Experience the enchanting, undulating landscapes of magical Mid Wales from a homely Shepherds Hut named Ivy’s Way. Permanently pitched at the edge of working farmland, this peaceful paradise promises wonderful, wild walks and hot tub dips beneath the stars.
Perfectly perched within a vast oasis of rolling green fields bordered by farmland and forests, Ivys Way is a quaint character with all of the cosy comforts you’d find in a boutique B&B. Enjoy sparkling sundowners on your private decking area, trace out constellations from the warm waters of the hot tub and set out on foot with your four-legged friend to the nearby Gilfach Nature Reserve.
Cosy, compact and with contemporary comforts, this stunning Shepherds Hut offers a slice of the simple life without compromising on luxuries. A welcoming log burner awaits your return from bracing countryside rambles, a divine double bed enjoys views of the surrounding hills and a modern shower room allows you to enjoy this self-contained cocoon.
A spacious, safely secured garden ensures that one well-behaved dog will enjoy the environment whilst the delightful decking area and hot tub allow you to really soak up the scenic surroundings and enjoy each others’ company. There is spacious, private parking for one car, which is recommended if you would like to get out and about to visit local attractions.
The farm is situated less than 3 miles from the market town of Rhayader, the first town on the River Wye. The ideal excuse to pull on the wellies and go for a wander, there are a handful of shops stocking all of the essentials and local produce. Also nearby are the Elan and Claerwen Valleys where you can admire and marvel at the Victorian infrastructure as well as enjoying an abundance of rural rambles.
If it’s wining and dining your after, Rhayader has a choicely selection of eateries ranging from the casual cafe, The Lost Arc (which welcomes dogs) to the more bistro option of The Lamb and Flag Grill. The foodie scene of Ludlow is a scenic drive away, where there are attractions aplenty and several Michelin starred restaurants.
For other inspiring adventures, the coastal University town of Aberystwyth is nearby, as well as the Cambrian Mountains for wildlife enthusiasts.
