Perhaps try your hand at flying a kite or a spot of birdwatching. Shorebirds like oystercatchers and ringed plovers can be seen on the beach, and maybe some seals if you’re lucky. Wells also has its own Guinness World Record for holding 10 ¼ gauge miniature railways, which has been taking visitors to the beach since 1976. So instead of walking to the beach on one of your days, enjoy this unique short ride!
If you’re feeling adventurous, you could take a guided paddleboard tour or hire at rowing boat at Holkham Hall. After a busy few hours exploring, take a seat on the harbour wall and treat yourselves to some delicious fish ‘n’ chips.
