The popular Glyndwr’s Way passes right outside the cottage and the scenic Snowdonia National Park is just a stone’s throw away. However, the cottage itself boasts a wonderful array of amenities so we can’t promise you will want to venture far!

Beautiful interiors combined with well kept traditional features such as stone walls and wooden beams all add to the character of this charming Welsh holiday cottage. On the ground floor you will find a pretty open plan kitchen/dining area equipped with everything you could need to cook up some delicious meals for the whole family. In the evenings, snuggle down in the sitting room in front of the wood burning stove or enjoy a film together down in the converted cellar cinema room. When it comes to bedtime, there are three bedrooms to sleep in, all furnished in a contemporary style with crisp white linen and soft throws. There is also a roll out bed available to accommodate the sixth guest. The master bedroom even boasts a luxurious en suite. Fear not, no queuing for showers required here due to their being another stylish shower room.
Already decided you’d like to stay? Wait till you hear about the garden. Brynderwen Cottage features a nice sunny patio where the whole family can enjoy spending quality time together whilst lighting up the barbie. Dine alfresco and sip on something bubbly whilst you admire those far reaching views of Mid Wales! When it starts feeling cooler, hop into the wood fired hot tub to soothe those achy muscles from the day’s adventures. The kids and your dog will be thrilled with the garden, especially with the addition of a fun table tennis table outside!
The Cottage and the location are exceptional and simply idyllic for those looking to explore more of Wales. Pull on the hiking boots and pack a waterproof, there’s plenty of walks to discover! The 135 mile National Trail called Glyndwr’s Way runs alongside Brynderwen and is an excellent walk to start on to discover some of the best landscape in Mid Wales.
Don’t fancy cooking? The Cann Office Hotel is only 1 mile away and is a beautiful 20 minute walk on a summer’s evening. This family-friendly pub serves up all of your favourites in very hearty portions.
The popular town of Welshpool is just a short drive away. A bustling Welsh town with traditional butchers, greengrocers, restaurants and other independent shops. As well as the popular Welshpool-Llanfair Caereinion Light Railway and the magnificent Powis Castle.
For lakeside adventures and a walk to a waterfall a visit to Lake Vyrnwy is a must during your stay at Brynderwen Cottage! Take a nice ride around the lake or even hire a canoe and go for a paddle. Finish off the morning with a pit stop at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel for a quick lunch whilst you enjoy the incredible views from the balcony.
Snowdonia National Park is just eight miles away from this cosy cottage, one of Wales’ most popular places to visit! For the keen ramblers try and tackle the great Mount Snowdon. And for those that enjoy a more relaxed journey, why not catch the train to the summit!
